Historic and latest developments in the field of suicide prevention in the Netherlands
Dr. Renske Gilissen, biologist and behavioural scientist, is head of the research department of 113 Suicide Prevention, the Dutch suicide prevention centre, where she supervises numerous research projects (final supervision), ranging from epidemiological studies, big data, implementation studies, psychological autopsy studies, meta-analyses, e-health and artificial intelligence. She is also principal investigator of the SURE-Net consortium (Suicide Research The Netherlands) and initiator and chair of the Committee on suicide registration and monitoring (Commissie Actuele Nederlandse Suïcideregistratie, CANS).
