Biography

Marja was trained as a nurse and specialized as an oncology nurse in 1996. In 2003 she completed her training as a nurse practitioner. Until 2008, as a nurse-practitioner, she supervised pharmacology patients who participated in phase 1/2 pharmacological research at the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek hospital in Amsterdam. In 2008 she exchanged Amsterdam for the Achterhoek, the east of the Netherlands. There she developed herself as a programmanager oncological care within the Deventer Hospital and then until 2019 as programmanager for three hospitals in the region Twente Salland. In 2019 she started at the 113 foundation. There she is building a national network of hospitals. This network aims to realize collaboration between hospitals in the field of suicide prevention in order to develop training and tools together.
